Deed from John and Sinda Mann to S. H. Mann in 1889 This Indenture made & entered into this the 25th day of May 1889 by & between John Mann & Sinda Mann his wife party of the first part & S. H. Mann party of the second part all of the County of Breathitt & State of Kentucky Witnesseth that for the consideration of $400.00 to the in hand paid & for the further consideration of his part of John Mannes real estate the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged to the party of the first part the party of the first part do this day bargain sell & convey by a Deed of General Warranty unto the party of the second part a certain tract or parcel of land containing 1000 acres more or less lying & being in the Co of Breathitt & state of Ky. & bounded as follows to wit Beginning at the mouth of the old Trace Branch thence down main Quicksand to small ravine at the lower end of the first field thence a straight line to the top of the hill thence with the dividing ridge between the old Trace Branch & Holey Branch to the head of old Trace to Wilson Howard's line then with the dividing ridge between Trace Branch & Main Quicksand to Wm. Carpenter's line thence down the creek to the Beginning to have & hold said land forever by deed of General Warranty which deed originated from Thomas Hagins. Given under our hand & seals His John X Mann Seal Mark Her Lousinda X Seal Mark State of Ky Co of Breathitt I, J. Wise Hagins Clerk of the Breathitt County Court, do certify that the foregoing Deed from John Mann & Lousinda Mann to S. H. Mann was produced to me in my Court & acknowledged by the grantors to be the act & deed & said Sinda Mann wife of said John Mann being examined separate & apart from her husband did freely sign & acknowledge the same to be her full & virtue act & deed & consented that the same might be recorded this the 25 day of May 1889.
